Strawbale housing was born of necessity like most things... in the treeless plains of Nebraska where they had plenty of straw but not much timber.

im on the road, i know that i want a straw bale home, but all the websites i have seen seem to suggest only certain designs will fit in with making it out of strawbales? is this right?

also, i cant find anywhere any guidelines to find out what kind of costing im looking at for the building to be at lock up stage,

hope you understand what im saying and know some answers
